A day out on the water has ended in a trip to hospital for a 47-year-old Logan man.
He was jet skiing at Jumpinpin Bar between North and South Stradbroke Islands before midday on Sunday when he came off the craft.
He was pulled aboard another jet ski but then he and his rescuer were both knocked into the water by a wave.
The 47-year-old was then struck on the head by one of their jet skis.
He was brought to shore where he was treated by paramedics and taken a short distance by ambulance to the waiting rescue helicopter.
He was then airlifted in a stable condition to the Gold Coast University Hospital with head and neck injuries.
